Christmas Leftovers Recipe Ideas

Like other holidays sharing plenty of food, there is another task to do post-holiday - what to do with all the leftovers? Creating new recipes from your leftovers not only save you from food waste, but will give you more time to rest from all the cooking.

Here are some ideas on what to do with Christmas leftovers.

If you had Turkey for Christmas, chances are you can't finish the whole bird just like during Thanksgiving. Check out these recipes for turkey leftovers.

Turkey pot pie

Use leftover turkey, vegetables, and gravy to make a comforting pot pie. Top with puff pastry or pie crust for a delicious and easy meal.

Turkey and cranberry quesadillas

Fill a tortilla with leftover turkey, cranberry sauce, and cheese, and grill until the cheese is melted.

Turkey and stuffing muffins

Mix leftover turkey and stuffing with a little bit of gravy and press into a muffin tin. Bake until heated through and serve as a fun and tasty snack.

Ham and cheese sliders

Slice leftover ham and cheese, and place on small rolls. Add a little bit of mustard or mayonnaise if desired, and bake until the rolls are toasty and the cheese is melted.

Roast beef and horseradish wraps

Spread leftover roast beef with a little bit of horseradish, and wrap in a tortilla with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Grill or bake until the wrap is hot and the cheese is melted.

Mashed potato pancakes

Mix leftover mashed potatoes with a little bit of flour, egg, and cheese. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a hot griddle and cook until golden brown on both sides.

Cranberry sauce muffins

Stir leftover cranberry sauce into a muffin batter, and bake until the muffins are tender and fragrant.

Green bean casserole frittata

Beat together a few eggs, and stir in leftover green bean casserole. Pour the mixture into a hot pan, and cook until the frittata is set and golden brown.

Avoid reheating your Christmas dinner but serve a new menu using ingredients from the holidays! Share and save this for later!
